A. The data we collect

CleanWater.ke collects personal data:

• Provided by users to CleanWater.ke, such as during account creation (name, email, phone number, address). For vendors, this also includes business details and uploaded compliance documents.
• Created during use of our services, such as precise or approximate location, transaction details, and device data.
• From other sources, such as other users providing feedback (e.g., ratings) or business partners.

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide our services: This includes using data to create and manage user accounts, enable deliveries and dynamic dispatching, process payments, and other features.
• Safety and security: We use personal data to help maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our services and users. This includes verifying user identities and using vendor documents for compliance audits, which may involve automated analysis.
• Customer support: CleanWater.ke uses the information we collect to provide customer support, including to investigate and address user concerns.
• Research and development: We may use data for analysis and product development to improve our services, including our AI-powered features like Smart Order Dispatch and Demand Forecasting.
• Legal proceedings and requirements: We may use the personal data we collect to investigate or address claims or disputes relating to use of CleanWater.ke's services.

IV. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Some of CleanWater.ke's services and features require that we share personal data with other users or at a user’s request. For example, we share a customer's first name, delivery location, and contact details with their assigned vendor to facilitate a delivery. We may also share data with our affiliates, subsidiaries, and partners for legal reasons or in connection with claims or disputes.

V. Data Retention and Deletion

CleanWater.ke retains personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. This means that we retain different categories of data for different periods of time depending on the category of user, the type of data, and the purposes for which we collected it.

Users may request deletion of their accounts at any time through their profile page. CleanWater.ke may retain personal data after a deletion request due to legal or regulatory requirements, for purposes of safety, security, and fraud prevention, or because of an issue relating to the user's account such as an outstanding credit or an unresolved claim or dispute.

CleanWater.ke enables users to access and control the data that we collect, including through their in-app profile settings and by allowing users to request access to or correction of their data.
